HGH Takes First Hydrostatic Cabbed Dumpers.

Thwaites have sold their first 9-tonne, hydrostatic, cabbed dumper, in an eight-machine deal with HGH Groundworks Ltd based in Sussex. The deal being facilitated by approved distributor CBL (Clive Barford Ltd).

Hydrostatic transmissions offer the operator a smoother, more precise and safer drive. Proportional control enables the operator to effortlessly manage drive speed, reducing both operator and gearbox fatigue.

This latest dumper adoption completes the transition, with the entire Thwaites range, from the 1-tonne Hi-tip to the 9-tonne cabbed, now being offered as fully hydrostatic.

HGH Groundworks were founded in 2000 and provide groundworks and civil engineering to clients across the southeast of England. The business owns and operates a wide range of construction equipment, with around 45 site dumpers in the fleet. The prevailing procurement policy is to add only Thwaites dumpers to the growing HGH Groundworks hire line.

HGH Plant Director, Tony Clancy said, “Having chosen Thwaites and adding them to our fleet, there is no going back. Thwaites dumpers offer the best design, the highest quality and most reliable dumpers on the market.”

CBL Sales Director Richard Sturgess said “We are delighted to have made this landmark deal involving the first hydrostatic, Thwaites 9-tonne cabbed dumpers with our much-valued customer HGH Groundworks. These machines are dependable, safe and now offer superior control and comfort for the HGH plant operators.”

Mr Clancy concluded, “These hydrostatic machines are not only more comfortable and easier to use for our operators, but they will also reduce engine wear and fuel consumption. In addition to making the actual maintenance of the machines more efficient for our service team.”

Thwaites Distributor Manager Paul Rodwell commented, “In another first for Thwaites, I am delighted to see these hydrostatic 9-tonne machines have been sold to HGH Groundworks. I would like to thank Tony for his continued loyalty and Kevin Clarke from the CBL team for his stewardship.”
