Recognising Rental in Support of European Rental Week.

This week Oct 13-19th is European Rental Week across mainland Europe and Plant Hire Week here in the UK.

In the first of three articles by way of contribution we focus on Recognising Rental as part of the campaigns theme of Empowering the Future through Transition-Sustainability-People.

With a tradition and reputation for quality and sustainability Thwaites has been designing, building and empowering the industry for over 85 years.

With heritage in our DNA, we are immensely proud to look back and always excited to look forward.

Thwaites dumpers are built with hirers in mind, with a large proportion going directly to the rental markets across the UK and Europe.

The rental market is fast paced, dynamic and innovative by nature, Thwaites understands that to be successful depends on consistently getting the basics right.

When we listen to hirers, they tell us that the pillars they are benchmarked on by customers are.

Rental Pillars.

> Keeping customers safe and protecting their reputation

> Ensuring customers have the right product for the right application

> Having the right product in the right place at the right time

> Delivering and collecting on time

> Communicating and being accessible if it goes wrong

> Delivering an accurate invoice

Proud to Support a Sustainable Rental Sector.

Hirers look to differentiate by adding value via, digitalisation, sustainability, product innovation and most importantly of all by attracting, training and retaining the best people.

People who will intime know their rental business from the ground up, know their customers inside out and know how, through a mix of data intelligence and a professional touch to build long lasting relationships.

Throughout 2025 the rental market will have seen from Thwaites new product development with a range of electric dumpers. Fitted with the latest lithium-ion (dry-cell) battery technology, the maintenance free units deliver 22kWh of power to highly efficient electric drive motors.

This last month, Thwaites distributor in Denmark, Erenfred Pedersen, sold the first 3-tonne and 2-tonne electric dumpers to leading market and sustainability innovators, GSV Group.

Earlier in 2025 Thwaites was able to lead the market in its reaction to the changing manufacturing standard EN474 202 relating to cabbed dumpers. Innovating, designing and producing ROPS+ an alternative option for hirers to offer a fully compliant, safe system that protects operators and eases pressure on ROI.

In 2026 the highly anticipated Thwaites ROTATOR will launch, this innovative and technologically advanced machine will further reduce risk and improve productivity. All delivered via the latest digitalised design and production methodologies, from the Thwaites factory and team.
